The Safety Department of the Joint Industry Board recently commenced the first night of the new 40-hour Electrical Safety Professional (ESP) course. Eleven members of the Construction Division attended the training over six nights at the Electrical Industry Center in classrooms A & B, with the 7th and 8th nights held at the Training Center in Long Island City, Queens.
The ESP course trainers are certified in Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices based on the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E. This training, specifically tailored to the electrical trade, is a preeminent electrical safety training course. Members and employers alike who see the need for ESP training should call the Safety Department at 718-820-4144. If such training is required for a project, the contractual language for ESP training can usually be found in the referral for proposal safety training specifications.
