In addition to his role as Business Manager of Local 3, Chris Erikson had served as the IBEW International Executive Council (IEC) Chairman for 10 years until his retirement on December 31st. As the chair of the judicial body for the IBEW, he represented the membership’s interests, heard appeals to decisions made by the International President, and enforced the IBEW Constitution. Brother Erikson was first elected to succeed Local 9 Business Manager Bob Pierson as IEC chairman, and he was subsequently re-elected at the 39th and 40th International Conventions. On January 1st, Local 1158 Business Manager Joseph Calabro officially became the new IEC chairman.
