Local 3’s Summer College Helper Program is open to the children of eligible union members. The application letter must be typed and addressed to:

Clifford Tuohy, Business Representative
Local Union 3, IBEW
158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Avenue
Flushing, NY 11365

And it must include the following information:

  • Member’s Name
  • Member’s Card Number
  • Email Address
  • Full Mailing Address
  • Phone Number
  • What shop does the member work for at the present time? If not working, then on Furlough, Workers’ Compensation, etc.?
  • Applicant’s Name, Social Security Number, Email Address, and Phone Number
  • Applicant’s Date of Birth (Note: Must be 18 years old.)
  • Indicate the Applicant’s Relationship to Member
  • What college is the Applicant attending as a full-time student? (Note: Part-time students will not be accepted into this program.)
  • Has the Applicant ever participated in this program before?

No requests will be accepted after May 1st. Please note that this program is exclusive to the children of eligible Local 3 members. Thank you.
