Over 200 members of Local 3, IBEW attended a special meeting of the Latimer Progressive Association on October 14th that featured a panel and Q&A with Talk About Pain™ Live. Former New York Giant and two-time Super Bowl champion Justin Tuck spoke about his personal experiences and expectations as a football player, as a professional athlete, and as an African-American man. Dr. Joseph Ravenell, MD, who is an associate dean and professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, spoke from his expertise as a medical professional. They both answered questions about treating pain seriously, talking with your doctor when something feels wrong, and removing the stigma, especially when it comes to the workplace and communities of color.
