Let’s pause to dote on love today. Whether it’s someone special in your life who knows it or not. It could be a spouse, a parent or a child, a brother or sister, a grandparent, a friend, a neighbor, or a stranger. Love is a powerful emotion. Love Potion #9, “Love it or Leave it,” "All You Need is Love". Showing my age now, how about: “Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all” or “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” Yeah, right.
To love and to be loved is life, it defines and fulfills us and is not always easy to feel or to find. Sometimes love hurts. From the Wizard to the Tin Man, “As for you, my galvanized friend, you want a heart. You don’t know how lucky you are not to have one. Hearts will never be practical until they can be made unbreakable.”
Life is hard and has been especially challenging these past couple of years. For those struggling, hang in there or reach out. Our union remains the foundation. It’s what provides the necessities for you and for your loved ones, so protect it, support it, grow it and you know what, love it too. Happy Valentine's Day. Now get to work.
