Local 3, IBEW continues to show support for various downstate casino proposals before Community Advisory Committees, which have been tasked with gauging public opinion and informing the New York State Gaming Facility Location Board (GFLB) ahead of their final decision. Last week, rank-and-file members attended CAC meetings in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx, and they demonstrated outside along with building trades unions, elected officials, local business and community leaders, and residents.
